    Accommodations
    The Gorbon 53 is a 2 private stateroom layout. The interior woodwork is satin varnished Cherry. The overhead is painted bead board with Cherry beams.The cabin sole is solid mahogany varnished planking. Lighting is overhead lamps with dimmer switches and night lighting throughout. There are 7 SS Bomar hatches, each with Ocean-Air Sky screens and shades and 8 SS opening ports. Reverse cycle heat and air and an Espar forced hot-air furnace.

    The master cabin is forward and features a queen island berth. There are 5 drawers, 8 lockers, 2 open bookshelves, 2 open lockers and a large hanging locker. There is an ensuite head with shower stall. A Vetus 24v fresh water electric head is plumbed to a 35 gal holding tank with Tankwatch gauges. The head sink is plumbed to a 35 gal gray water tank.

    The guest cabin has two separate berths, 7 drawers, 4 lockers, an open bookshelf and a large hanging locker. There is a Vetus 24v fresh water electric head with a y-valve for overboard discharge or to the holding tank with a Tankswatch gauge.

    One of the highlights of the Gorbon 53 is the salon. Whether sitting or standing, visibility is an unobstructed 360 degrees. Fitted with a large L-shaped convertible settee, drop leaf dining table with drawers at each end and storage underneath, navigation and communications center. A functional inside helm station is complete with engine controls, bow thruster, navigation equipment and helm chair.The engine is located under the cockpit for sound reduction. The salon door opens to the cockpit. A large hatch in the sole provides access to the generator space, fuel manifold system and other ship's systems.
